Public presentation | Agency for Research and Innovation (AI²)

The PFP - Portuguese Railway Platform Cluster Association was present at the public presentation of the methodology for defining national research and innovation priorities of the new Agency for Research and Innovation (AI²), which took place today, February 24, 2026, at the Técnico Innovation Center.

The session was attended by the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, the Minister of Economy, as well as the Secretaries of State for Science and Economy, reinforcing the strategic centrality of research and innovation in national public policies.

The event also included speeches by the President of the National Innovation Agency (ANI) and the President of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), in the context of the creation of AI², an entity resulting from the merger of these two institutions.

PFP remains committed to actively monitoring this process and contributing to the definition of strategic priorities that will shape the future of research and innovation in Portugal.
