PFP intends to participate in the improvement of railway infrastructure performance through the development of new methodologies / materials / solutions to achieve robustness, durability and higher wear resistance, as well as better soundproofing and reduced maintenance costs, are the objectives of this project.
Key development actions:
1. Develop remote monitoring solutions for rail assets, including software applications for mobile devices;
2. Develop renovation and maintenance decision support systems based on predictive degradation models;
3. Develop new structural solutions using new materials with a view to reducing life cycle costs;
4. To carry out an integrated review of investments in transport infrastructures.
