The closing session of the Ferrovia 4.0 Mobilizador project, co-financed by the European Union within the scope of Portugal 2020 and developed by a vast consortium, took place on the 20th of July at ISEP – Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto.
Centered on the modernization of the railway sector, the project centered on the creation of innovative technological solutions, developed different components, tools and systems aimed at the economic, social and ecological sustainability of the railway system, the reduction of operating and maintenance costs, the creation more reliable information systems to support decision-making in asset management and the creation of intrinsic safety systems capable of monitoring the infrastructure and triggering alerts and protection/intervention measures.
In addition to the thematic sessions and the presentation of the latest trends and technological advances in the railway sector by specialists, several of the prototypes developed within the scope of the project were presented, offering a unique perspective of the intelligent and sustainable solutions created, providing an immersive and engaging experience to the event participants.
