PORTUGUESE RAILWAY PLATFORM AT THE INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR "SHAPING THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY

On the 10th November, start of a tree day’s Seminar "Shaping the Future of Mobility", organized CRP, with the sponsorship CP – Comboios de Portugal, IP Infraestruturas de Portugal and UIC, was held at LNEC - National Engineering Laboratory in Lisbon, as part of the initiatives of the European Year of Rail and whose main purpose was to contribute to a vision of the future of mobility and transport, based on the European Union's policy for Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility (2020).

The Portuguese Railway Cluster Platform Association, was present and participated with speakers and moderators, namely through its President, Joaquim Guerra, in his presentation on behalf of CP, highlighted the power of the railway in sustainability: "The train already has all the conditions to be the backbone of mobility in Europe, ensuring the sustainability we all want", and its Executive Director, Paulo Duarte who presented the Mobilizer Project FERROVIA4.0.

Closing the Seminar, the Minister of Infrastructures and Housing, Pedro Nuno Santos underlined: "Only with a better territorial coverage we can promote the modal shift from individual transport".
